Bay View Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Beech Mountain Mountaineers and the San Francisco Bandits.
Getting an impressive start from Mang Tow, Beech Mountain beat San Francisco by the score of 3-2. Beech Mountain reliever Mang Tow got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Felipe Reyes was tagged with the loss.
This game went down to the wire. In the top of the 12th, Pedro Gonzáles had a big at-bat. With two out, the Beech Mountain center fielder hit a run-scoring single, to put his team up, 3-2.
"We busted our humps out there," said Gonzáles.
The Mountaineers sit in 4th place in the National League Southern Division with a record of 21-22.
