|
New Orleans Looters starter Gennarino Lucchetti was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the So Cal Bruins, 4-2. In 6 innings, Lucchetti surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Juan Méndez got the save, the 11th for him this season.
New Orleans first baseman Oliver Deleón made his contribution to the Looters cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning. For the day, Deleón was 1-4 with a triple.
After the game, New Orleans manager Ramón Aragón applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
At 24-18, the Looters are currently first in the National League Southern Division.
