Rockets Pull Back to .500 With Win Over G-Strings
|
Nassau starter Tomás Molina put a stranglehold on the Nashville offense. The right-hander had complete command of his change up in leading the Rockets to a 3-1 win. Molina got the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. Molina allowed 1 earned run. Nolan Baker recorded his 1st save for Nassau.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when shortstop Pete Harvey, who is a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, hit a double. The Rockets went on to win.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Rockets manager Ji-an Shaw, "I like our chances."
Nassau is now 19-19.
