Gómez Hits 2 home runs in Bandits Win
San Francisco first baseman Alberto Gómez had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Niagara Falls Frenzy, 11-9. Manuel Rodríguez, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 7 runs on 10 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 3-4. Getting the save was Mitsunari Taguchi, his 7th.

Gómez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for San Francisco in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Gómez took a fastball from Albert Gonzáles and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Bandits to leap in front, 6-4.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gómez told the San Francisco Herald.
