Rebels Fall to Yarbrough, Frenzy
|
The Niagara Falls Frenzy relied on the hitting of right fielder Clyde Yarbrough to stop the Boston Rebels, 10-7. For the game, Yarbrough was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Jesse Green got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 7 runs on 12 hits in 8.1 innings. Picking up the save was Esteban Juárez, his 9th.
Yarbrough had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the third, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Frenzy went on to win.
"We'll savor this win," Yarbrough told the Niagara Falls Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
Niagara Falls bumps their record to 13-22 with the win.
