Beavers Win Again, Extend Streak to 6
|
Baffin Island second baseman Alonso Ferreira was instrumental in his team's 7-3 win over the New York Knights. Ferreira, who is a five-time All-Star, went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Beavers. The Knights, at 12-21, have lost 5 in a row.
Early in the game, Ferreira had a run-scoring double for Baffin Island. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Beavers on top, 2-1.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Ferreira said after the game.
