Victory Pushes Noise Record to 18-15
|
The Noise faced a stiff challenge from Irvine pitcher Raúl Saltines, but persevered to claim a win at The Ballpark at Irvine. The final score was 3-0. Saltines went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Noise bumped their record to 18-15 with this latest triumph.
Willie Wallace, who is tied for 7th in the NL in extra base hits with 17, aided the Nevada cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a double.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Wallace.
