Adams Dazzles in Nassau Win
|
In a low-scoring game between the Nassau Rockets and the Beech Mountain Mountaineers, pitcher Rod Adams was masterful on the mound. The Nassau left-hander was named the player of the game in Nassau's 2-0 win. The win moves Nassau to a record of 14-17.
Adams, who dominated for Nassau, earned the victory to move to 4-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. Beech Mountain batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Nassau manager Juan López said.
