Pitcher Thierry Garneau was sensational for the Baffin Island Beavers in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Niagara Falls Frenzy. Garneau received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Garneau, the winner, moves to 5-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. Baffin Island is now 17-13.
Baffin Island grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 1st, José Aguilera delivered a 2-run home run, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Beavers.
In postgame comments to the Baffin Island Observer, Aguilera said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
