Bandits Drop Another One
Maui turned a good effort from starter Ronald Cotton into a win over the San Francisco Bandits at Bay View Park. The final score was 3-1. Luis De Los Ángeles picked up the save for Maui, his 1st of the year. The Bandits fall to 9-21 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Early in the game, left fielder Luis Alou had a run-scoring single for Maui. It was his 39th hit of the season and put the Tropics on top, 1-0.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Cotton told a Maui Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
