Cruz Propels Pocatello to 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Pocatello Boccabellas and the Seattle Pikes, Osvaldo Cruz was the difference-maker. The Pocatello left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-1 win. The loss drops Seattle to 15-13.
Cruz was in the zone all game. He frustrated Seattle hitters while giving the Boccabellas 8 innings of quality work. Cruz threw 103 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 5 punchouts.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Seattle manager Kevin Hickey. "The effort was great."
