The San Francisco Bandits did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Baffin Island Beavers at Beaver Dam. Nobody did more than pitcher Fernando Llama, who captured player of the game honors. Mitsunari Taguchi earned the save for San Francisco, his 2nd of the year. Losses have been few and far between for the Beavers so far this season. Their record drops to 2-1.
It could have been a different outcome for San Francisco, had it not been for Javier Ramírez, the 25-year old shortstop . Ramírez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put San Francisco up, 3-2.
"I felt we were ready to go," said San Francisco manager Felipe Díaz. "Our pregame was pretty good."
