Victory Pushes Rocks Record to 16-9
|
The Plymouth Rocks bested the Nassau Rockets, 6-2, at Nassau Grounds. Roy Patrick was named player of the game. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Walt Burton picked up the win with 8.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 10 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 3-2. Plymouth goes to 16-9 with the win.
Early in the game, center fielder Barrett Waters had a 2-run home run for Plymouth. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Rocks on top, 2-0.
