Kalamazoo pitcher Keith Hill did his part in helping his team beat the Niagara Falls Frenzy, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Kalamazoo reliever Morgan McDormand was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ricardo Pérez took the loss. The loss lowers the Niagara Falls record to 8-17.

Donovan Bird's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a sinker from Ricardo Pérez for a 2-run home run. It put Kalamazoo in front, 5-3.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Hill. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
