Royale with Cheese Lose to Frenzy, 5-2
|
The exploits of catcher Zander Tremblett helped the Niagara Falls Frenzy defeat the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese, 5-2. Tremblett went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Otis Sykes, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 3-2. The Frenzy, now 8-16, have not found much traction so far in 2028.
Tremblett had a key at-bat for Niagara Falls early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Niagara Falls an early 3-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Tremblett told the Niagara Falls Observer.
