Rockets Get One-Run Win at Maui
The Nassau Rockets beat the Maui Tropics, 7-6, at Rainbow Stadium. Nassau second baseman Howard Parker earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. Guan-cai Yong earned the save, his 5th. The Tropics fall to 8-16 and continue their uneasy start to the 2028 season.

Rubén Matos was one of the major contributors to the win for Nassau. The light-hitting catcher stroked a single to left in the top of the seventh inning. For the day, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Parker. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
