The San Francisco Bandits did just enough to sneak past the Plymouth Rocks, 5-4, at Play Rocks Field. San Francisco pitcher Manuel Rodríguez earned player of the game honors. San Francisco is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 7th win in 21 games.

The Bandits beat the Rocks in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out home run Anacleto Morillo produced in the top of the fourth. Batting against Plymouth pitcher Walt Burton, Morillo gave his team a 4-3 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

"Both teams played hard," said San Francisco manager Felipe Díaz.
