Knights Turn Back So Cal, 6-4

The New York Knights topped the So Cal Bruins, 6-4, in National League action at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. The player of the game was New York pitcher and Milam, Texas native Phil Davis. Juan Ortíz nailed down his 5th save. New York is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 8th in 20 games.
Warren Potter, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, helped out the New York cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder was 1-3 with a walk.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Potter.
