Beech Mountain Mountaineers starter Simon Martel was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Niagara Falls Frenzy, 6-2. Martel, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 2 walks. Bret McJannett nailed down his 2nd save.

Juan Castro helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Beech Mountain a 1-0 lead.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Martel said.

The win leaves Beech Mountain with a record of 9-10.
