Browns Get 4-1 Win Versus Seattle
|
St. Louis beat Seattle on the strength of starter Claudio Martínez's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. The winning pitcher was Martínez, now 3-0. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The win gives the Browns a record of 6-10.
Mario Rosales was 2 for 3 with 2 singles for St. Louis. The 27-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Albert Lebel. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
