Boccabellas Stymie New Orleans, Take 3-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Pocatello Boccabellas and the New Orleans Looters, Bud Baldwin was the difference-maker. The Pocatello right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 win. Baldwin picked up the win for Pocatello, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 11-12. The Boccabellas' win now puts them at 81-70.
The Pocatello triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was José Delgado. In the top of the second, the Pocatello second baseman hit a 2-run double. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.
