Noise Deal Browns Painful Loss
|
The Branda's Palace faithful were treated to a dramatic, walk-off win.
The Nevada Noise took St. Louis pitcher Aaron Palmer's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Branda's Palace. The final score had Nevada getting past the Browns, 4-3. Palmer went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 9. Jorge Pérez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-3. Cristóbal Gómez was tagged with the loss.
In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 3-3, catcher Julián Madrid won it for Nevada. With a runner on 3rd, Madrid hit a 1-2 fastball from Cristóbal Gómez for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 4-3 win.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Madrid said.
Nevada now sits in third place in the National League Western Division at 67-81.
