Mountaineers Snatch Late Win
Getting an impressive start from Yong-hoon Park, Beech Mountain beat Plymouth by the score of 4-2. Beech Mountain reliever Matthew Scott picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Dave Smeddon was saddled with the loss. António Ramos closed the game out for Beech Mountain, earning his 6th save.

Runs were at a premium. So, Robert Phillips's at-bat with no one out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The Beech Mountain right fielder hit a run-scoring double, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Park. "Successful pitchers do it."

At 61-85, the Mountaineers find themselves in 4th place in the National League Southern Division.
