Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the El Dorado Oilers got the win.
El Dorado rode a fine outing from starter Francisco Ríos to victory over the New Orleans Looters at The Bayou at Heineken Field. The final score was 3-2. El Dorado reliever César López picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Tadao Yoshida shouldered the loss. Kuang-yin Yue picked up the save, his 5th.
Valentín Borges made it 3-2 in favor of El Dorado when he delivered a solo home run. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Oilers went on to win.
"We found a way to get it done," Ríos said.
The win pushes El Dorado to a record of 7-7.
