Tropics Rally For Late Win Over Gang Green
The Maui Tropics topped the Irvine Gang Green, 3-2, in National League action at Rainbow Stadium. The player of the game was Maui pitcher and Elgin, Illinois native Ronald Cotton. Maui is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 6th win in 16 games.

Maui took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, right fielder José Rivas hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rivas told the Maui Citizen.
