Royale with Cheese, Keith Pin Bad Loss on River Sharks

The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese buried the Austin River Sharks, 13-1, under a barrage of hits. Caden Keith led the onslaught, going 3-for-4 for Kalamazoo. Salvador Castro got the win, improving to 11-4. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Gary Grimes nailed down his 1st save.
The Kalamazoo win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Jimmy Simon. In the top of the second, the Kalamazoo left fielder came to bat and hit a 2-run home run. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.
Austin manager Will Shaw called the blowout loss "just something that happens."
This loss makes it 8 in a row for Austin.
