Stars Knock Off Marshals at Mythology Coliseum

A nice crowd turned out to see the Springfield Stars and Houston Marshals clash at Mythology Coliseum.
The Springfield Stars beat the Houston Marshals, 8-1, at Mythology Coliseum. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Jesús Tobías, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Brock Morris, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 7.1 innings.
Had Tobías not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Tobías hit a run-scoring double. The Stars never looked back after taking the 1-0 lead.
Tobías told a Springfield Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Springfield goes to 106-31, Houston to 66-72.
