Browns Reel Off Another Win
The St. Louis Browns stopped the Austin River Sharks, 8-5, at Greendale Community Field. The Browns got a big game from Clinton Clark, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Bob Cunningham, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 2-3. St. Louis is now 69-58, Austin 39-90.

Clark came through with some timely hitting for St. Louis. With the score 2-0 in the top of the second and two down, Clark hit a first pitch slider for a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season made it 4-0, St. Louis.
