Royale with Cheese Beat Machine, 8-5
|
Chicago right fielder Tanyu Imai had a good game, even if his team did not. The Machine dropped a 8-5 decision to Kalamazoo at Old Comiskey Park. Imai was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 4 RBI. Octávio Ramírez picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 5 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 9-11. Kalamazoo is now 69-59, while Chicago is 49-79.
Pedro Rosado was one of the major contributors to the win for Kalamazoo. The light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to right in the top of the first inning. For the day, he was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Rosado told the Kalamazoo Herald.
