Marshals Nip Kings, 7-6
|
Houston beat Kansas City at The Throne Room, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Braydon Schute, who earned player of the game honors. Schute got the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Schute allowed 3 earned runs. Houston has now won 4 straight, while the Kings have lost 3 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Houston, had it not been for John Peterson, the two-time All-Star . Peterson contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Houston up, 3-1.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Schute.
