Looters Stumble, Lose to Bandits
|
The San Francisco Bandits stopped the New Orleans Looters, 8-1, at Bay View Park. The Bandits got a big game from Owen Carter, who went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kunihiko Daikawa got credit for the win, improving to 6-9. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 5 innings. Felipe Reyes got credit for the save for San Francisco. It was his 4th of the year.
The tide might have turned with one out in the top of the third, had not Kunihiko Daikawa made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Looters trailing 3-1, he retired Seung-chun Mun, who struck out.
San Francisco is now 47-72, while New Orleans is 69-50.
