Sheens Get 9-6 Win Versus San Francisco
|
The St Charles Sheens beat the San Francisco Bandits, 9-6, at Bay View Park. The Sheens got a fine performance from left fielder Daniel Robert, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. St Charles starter Jesús Andrade was credited with the win after throwing 92 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-16. Álex Villegas was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.
Miguel Palácios helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give St Charles a 2-0 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Palácios said after the game.
St Charles is now riding a 3-game win streak.
