Deplorables Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Fresno beat Maui in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Fresno Deplorables starter Kip Manning was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Maui Tropics, 4-2. Valentín Reséndez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 28th save.
In the top of the seventh inning, first baseman Paul Mullins came through big-time for the Deplorables. With Fresno leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Fresno manager Steve McCann.
Fresno has now won 4 games in a row.
