Pikes Suffer 4-1 Setback
|
The Vista Panthers got a stellar performance from pitcher Dale Reese, who handcuffed the Seattle offense en route to a 4-1 win at Pikes' Point Stadium. Reese got the win, improving to 8-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.2 innings. Reese allowed 1 earned run. David Simpson closed it out for his 20th save.
Alfredo Rivera drove in one run against the Pikes. In the top of the first inning, he hit a sacrifice fly, putting Vista in front, 1-0.
"Winning never gets old," said Reese.
The 'W' lifts Vista's record to 64-47.
