Noise Lose Late, 5-4
|
Fans who came to Branda's Palace watched the San Francisco Bandits and the Nevada Noise fight to the finish.
Nevada left fielder Max Jones had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to San Francisco at Branda's Palace. Jones went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. Fernando Llama was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 10 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts.
San Francisco third baseman Anacleto Morillo changed the complexion of the game in the top of the eighth inning. That's when he belted a 2-run home run off Carl Henry. His 11th home run of the season put San Francisco in front, 5-4.
Morillo said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
San Francisco is now 44-67, Nevada 53-58.
