Bruins Jolt Deplorables with Late Rally
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the So Cal Bruins and Fresno Deplorables were able to complete their ballgame.
Despite a great performance by Fresno third baseman Pablo Castillo, the So Cal Bruins defeated the Deplorables by the score of 6-4 at The Kallipolis. Castillo was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. With the win, the Bruins have a record of 67-41.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out and the bases loaded, the batter, Rubén Calderón, hit a 2-run single. It helped So Cal seize the win.
In comments to the So Cal Today, Calderón insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
