Bandits Come Up Short at Nevada
|
The Nevada Noise did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the San Francisco Bandits at Branda's Palace. Nobody did more than pitcher Don Wiggins, who captured player of the game honors. Nevada is now 52-57, while San Francisco is 43-66.
Max Jones contributed to the Nevada win. The 28-year old left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, Jones went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Wiggins said. "That's how it goes."
