2028 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Maui Tropics.
New Orleans first baseman Oliver Deleón had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Maui Tropics, 9-2. Gennarino Lucchetti got the win, improving to 13-6. He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1.
Run-ming Zhu chipped in for New Orleans, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Zhu said after the game.
