The bats were silent much of the day at Greendale Community Field. But Manny Copriviza conjured up just enough offense to carry the River Sharks past the Seattle Pikes, 3-0. Copriviza was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. José Salinas recorded his 8th save for Austin. The River Sharks improve their record to 31-68 with the win over Seattle.
Austin took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Copriviza hit a solo home run. His 16th home run of the season made the score 1-0, Austin.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Kevin Hickey. "That was the problem."
