Marshals Saddle Boccabellas with 3-2 Loss
|
Houston starter Stan Aldridge had a strong outing against the Pocatello Boccabellas at Connie Mack Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Aldridge went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-9. The save went to Vinícius Itaquy, his 9th this season.
Lewis Barr took Jesús De Los Santos deep with one out in the top of the first. On a first pitch curveball, Barr drilled a 2-run home run to left. It was his 12th home run of the season and put Houston on top, 2-0.
In comments to the Houston Citizen, Barr admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
The Marshals are now 42-59, while the Boccabellas fall to 52-48.
