Win Streak Now at 11 for Stars

In a tight contest at Kekambas Park, the Springfield Stars edged the Pocatello Boccabellas by the score of 6-5. Springfield third baseman Jesús Tobías, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Springfield reliever John Livingston picked up the win to move to 1-0. Kevin Bush suffered the loss. Pocatello's current losing streak is now 5 games.
An important at-bat for Springfield came with one out in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Tobías hit a 3-run home run, which contributed to the Stars win.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager León Gonzáles.
