Barr has 4 hit night to Power Marshals Offense
|
Houston right fielder Lewis Barr had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Austin River Sharks, 5-3. Houston starter Stan Aldridge was credited with the win after throwing 108 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-9. Vinícius Itaquy, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.
Barr had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from António Bueno, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Marshals a 4-2 lead. It was the 25th double of the year for Barr.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Barr told a Houston Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
The Marshals, at 38-57, sit in 4th place in the Continental League Central Division.
