Silver Impresses in Maui Loss
Nevada withstood an impressive performance by Maui shortstop Matt Silver to defeat the Tropics, 8-6, at Rainbow Stadium. Silver hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Jorge Pérez was called on to finish, recording his 5th save. The third-place Noise improved to 47-48.

Jesús Hernández contributed to the Nevada win. The 27-year old catcher stroked a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fifth. For the game, Hernández went 1 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Noise manager Bobby Vickers. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
