Bruins Dominate, Sweep League Championship
|
Eugene Gill said he expected the League Championship to be "a battle from start to finish."
In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the So Cal Bruins encountered little resistance in sweeping the Plymouth Rocks, to advance to the BSA Championship.
"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Gill.
So Cal won the final game by a 2-1 count and were led in the series by Gill, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .500 with 2 home runs. He also drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The So Cal Bruins don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Seattle Pikes - Springfield Stars series. Seattle leads the series 2 games to 1. The BSA Championship schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
