Nevada Noise starter Cliff Long turned in a sterling performance against the Maui Tropics, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. António Martínez got the save, the 4th for him this season. The Tropics fall to 4-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.

Long allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings for the Noise. He walked 1 and struck out 8.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Nevada manager Bobby Vickers said.
