Rockets Bang Out 10-5 Win Versus El Dorado
|
The Nassau Rockets topped the El Dorado Oilers, 10-5, with first baseman Wilson Allen playing a big role. Allen was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times for the Rockets in the win. Nassau, at 43-44, sits in second place in the National League Southern Division.
The Nassau win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Rubén Matos. In the top of the sixth, the Nassau catcher came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 7-5 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Matos.
