Santiago slugs 2 home runs as Bruins Drub Bandits
|
The So Cal Bruins pounded the San Francisco Bandits, 15-2, at Jersey West at Staples Field. So Cal right fielder José Antonio Santiago had a solid game. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3 for the Bruins. Juan González got the win, improving to 7-5. He pitched 8.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 0. The slumping Bandits have lost 7 straight.
Jeff Carter aided the So Cal cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once.
