Maui Wins, Alou hits 2 home runs
The Maui Tropics grabbed a 10-6 win over the Seattle Pikes at Pikes' Point Stadium. Maui left fielder Luis Alou went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Maui reliever Luis De Los Ángeles, now 3-2. The loser was Francisco Carrasco. With the win over Seattle, the Tropics improved to 30-55.

Ximena Campos had a nice at-bat for the Tropics with two out in the top of the seventh. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, the catcher hit a 2-run double, which would prove important in the Maui win.

"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Maui skipper Truman Bailey.
