Méndez in Fine Form in 4-1 Win
|
Alejandro Méndez pitched a masterpiece in leading So Cal to a 4-1 victory over the Nassau Rockets. The second-place Bruins are now 49-34, the Rockets 41-42.
Méndez ran roughshod over the Nassau lineup. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. With the victory, he goes to 12-2 on the season.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Méndez told the So Cal Today.
