Carr Impresses in Pocatello Loss
|
Despite a great performance by Pocatello left fielder Jeremy Carr, the Niagara Falls Frenzy defeated the Boccabellas by the score of 8-5 at Connie Mack Stadium. Carr was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Esteban Juárez closed the door for Niagara Falls, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The Frenzy, with just their 3rd win so far in 2028, have yet to catch fire.
The Frenzy beat the Boccabellas in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Jung-ha Kim produced in the top of the fifth. Batting against Pocatello pitcher Esteban Corona, Kim gave his team a 6-3 lead when he hit a bases-clearing double.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Kim told a Niagara Falls Observer reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
